The Group founder, Mr. Ooi Tek Peng, has over THIRTY (30) years of working experience in the plywood industry as plant manager and consultant. He is a much sought after expert in the feasibility study and design of plywood and sawmill factories. The Technical Director, Mr. Tan Sun Han, spent more than thirty (30) years in the plywood and fiberboard industries. He is particularly strong in the design and operation of fiberboard factory and drying system. Among others, the Group has helped to build and manage the biggest plywood and particleboard mill on turnkey basis in Malaysia and Papua New Guinea. Over the years, the Group accumulated rich practical experience in factory building and general engineering works. One example is the building of an earthquake shockproof factory in Vanuatu, South Pacific. Our main activities includes, ( 1) Provide management and consultancy services to the wood based industry, factory set up, modernization of old factory etc. ( 2) Feasibility Study, Design and Building various factories on turnkey basis. ( 3) Engineering works and Fabrication of Machineries or components. ( 4) Factory Relocation and Factory Building. ( 5) Overhaul & Upgrade of Japanese rotary lathe & plywood press. ( 6) Process Optimization and PLC / PC-based Automation. ( 7) Trading and Reconditioning of Machineries. At its peak, the Company employed more than sixty (60) engineers and technical staff and an annual sales turnover of about S $30, 000, 000. 00. Currently, the Company employs over forty (40) experienced engineers and technical staffs. The technologies we have mastered include: 1) Plywood and block board production utilizing Oil Palm Trunk (OPT) . 2) Processing of Empty Fruit Brunch fiber tailor made to end-uses. 3) Composite Boards (MD F, Particle Board) utilizing Oil Palm E. F. B. Our first foray into the Oil Palm Biomass processing industry come in the form of a three-years turnkey project of a E. F. B. Fiber particleboard Plant at Trong, Perak for Tian Siang Holdings. This project involves the relocation & upgrading of a second-hand 2400m3 capacity particleboard machineries for E. F. B. particle production. It also involves the designing and building of a new Direct Heat Drum Dryer for E. F. B. Fiber. The dried E. F. B. fiber has very versatile proven industrial application, ranging from mattress, reconstituted wood panels (PB, MD F) to fertilizer. The most exciting application, however, is its substitution of wood fiber in the paper pulp production.
