We do not own any factory but we are not traders that buy commodities and add a margin. Our model is to build a long term business selling a brand that we hope will become synonymous with premium quality. Most companies in the food industry are considered to be meat, or dairy or some other single category of supplier. Our advantage is, that as an Agricultural Scientist with 40 years of industry involvement and contacts, I am uniquely able to offer any client a broad range of foods and agricultural products under the one brand. We work on branding and that means everything from packaging to formulations and languages can be modified to suit a customer and it seems to take a lot of working backwards and forwards to work out what is going to suit an individual customer. So, for the list below, it is not totally comprehensive, but all these foods can be offered under the Wise Foods brand except for China where we already have an exclusive customer. For China we can provide anything under your own brand, a foreign buyers brand or we can offer a couple of other brands. None of the products are in an off-the-shelf format that we can just offer a price on or send a pallet as a trial. Most have substantial minimum orders where a customer wants their own brand and packaging must be prepared uniquely for them. 1. Pulses and grains: Lentils Chick peas Faber beans Lupin flour Lupin kernals ( also for stock and fish feed ) Instant oats oaten hay ( for stock feed ) Other: Biscuits, jams, sauces Olive oil Abalone ( branding is possibly an issue ) Being developed: UHT milk UHT drinking yoghurt/fermented milk Snack foods ( based on pulses, honey, grains etc. Like museli bars ) It will take time to develop labels and packages to suit your customers, but it means there is a lot of potential growth and we have quite a lot of choice for our future.
