• About Us : The origins of hellfold date back to 2000 when the freelance contractor market first fell victim to government legislation known as IR35. This made life more complicated for contractors, who needed help with their administration and back office systems. Hellfold was an established provider of administrative and accounting support services for owner / managed limited companies, when in 2003 hellfold branched out into the provision of a Umbrella solution. The 'Umbrella Company' (horrible name! ) covered two very distinctive solutions the 'PAYE Umbrella' and the 'Composite Umbrella'. Hellfold provided a PAYE Umbrella Services, choosing to avoid the composite arrangement which was regarded by many as a tax avoidance arrangement. The government's MSC legislation introduced in April 2007 targeted the composite arrangement and managed personal service companies making them, not illegal but, an extremely unattractive solution for freelance contractors. Hellfold is a professionally run organisation founded on a ruthless customer focus. We do not use jargon, we admit if we make mistakes and we listen to our customers.
