  • About Us : The charcoal factory is in the forest area of Hodome-a village in Ho which is the capital city in the volta region of Ghana. The charcoal business is a family business which started way back in the 1940's but all productions Volta Arts And Charcoal Industryre meant for local consumption. The arts (which is normally in the form of folklore music and dancing) were for relaxations in the evenings after a hard days work. The business had provided employment for over 30% of the population of Hodome until the advent of LPG gas which had seriosly undermined the local consumption of same. With great difficulty we have gone through the process of having all necesary licences and certificates from government that will enable us export our charcoal outside the country. Our recreational music and dances have also been fused with modern day dance to meet international physical theatre displays
