Ansen Cast is made of knitted fiberglass fabric or polyester fabric impregnated with water-activated polyurethane resin. Ansen Cast has many advantages comparing with traditional plaster cast: lightweight, high strength, X-ray radiolucent and air-permeability. Also cast removal generates dust which is lower in quantity and larger in particle size than the dust generated upon removal of a plaster cast. Ansen Cast is intended for use in the construction of most common orthopedic casts. It is mainly used for the external fixation of fracture or sprain to make the bone heal in the orthopedics, plastic surgery and general surgery. Precautions 1. The operator should wear gloves to avoid the polyurethane touching and adhering the skin. When the operator is stuck by polyurethane resin, please wipe it out with cotton swab with acetone. 2. Check bag without any breakage. Exposure to moisture or water initiates a chemical reaction that causes the roll to harden. Do not use the roll that feel hard. 3. Open one bag at one time and use the cast immediately. Don't open multi-bags at the same time avoid weakening the strength. 4. Ansen Cast should be stored in a cool, dry and ventilated atmosphere. The proper temperature is 15-30? and the humidity should be less than RH60%. 5. All applications of these casts should be followed according to instructions of doctors or qualified medical professionals. 6. Production date is marked on bag. The shelf life is 2 years from the date of production.
