• Company Name : Wood Bridge Company
 • About Us :

About WOODBRIDGE CORPORATION

Foam is where the heart is for Woodbridge Foam. Doing business as the Woodbridge Group, the company supplies urethane and bead foam products, primarily to the automotive industry. Its lineup is used in head restraints, armrests, headliners, rear seat bolsters, carpet padding, and acoustic materials. Woodbridge is a hefty supplier of side mirrors, steering wheels, and consoles to GM. Its foam cushioning offers comfort, safety, structural support, insulation, and energy and noise absorption in building, construction, and packaging products, too. Woodbridge's services include assembly and sequencing, and product research and design. Co-founder and chairman T. Robert Beamish holds a majority stake in the company.

Since its founding in 1978, Woodbridge has continued to invest in product research and development. In late 2010 the company inked a technical agreement with Toscana Gomma, an Italian manufacturer of slab and molded flexible foams. The two are collaborating on opportunities for using Woodbridge's DecoSkinTM, a polyurethane product featuring a durable, non-porous outer layer (or skin) and a loWood Bridge Companyr density core.

JSP International, a supplier of expanded polypropylene products, has also licensed Woodbridge's StructureLite (low mass seat frame) technology. The deal paves the way for new applications in the consumer goods, packaging, and automotive marketplace.

Woodbridge is one of three businesses to receive funding by Ontario's government for researching eco-friendly auto technologies. Its bio-based reduced-weight foam, called BioFoamTM, is marketed for its green crop-basis as well as contribution to vehicle fuel efficiency. Unlike traditional flexible foams using oil-based polymols, BioFoam uses the oils from seeds like soy beans. The company has teamed up with Cargill in testing and capturing a steady supply of soy-based polyols.

Woodbridge's GreenLiteTM, a low-mass, yet functional and less-expensive technology,
