Initially, the Company operated as the Experimental Department of the PoZAKLAD PRODUKCJI AUTOMATYKI SIECIOWEJ S.A.r System Automation Institute (IASE) in Wroclaw, to become a part of the Research and Manufacturing Centre for Power System Automation (CNPAE). After 1989, the management of the Company undertook actions aimed at privatization, which resulted in the establishment of a private joint-stock company at the end of 1991. On 1 June 2004 a separate company called ZPAS-NET was spun off from ZPAS, taking
